Our story

Veleriq started from a frustration most software buyers know by heart: products and projects that show up late, over budget, and a little less than what was promised. We decided the answer wasn't another promise — it was to build our own products, in the open about scope, serious about the calendar, and ruthless about the tests that catch regressions before customers do. The name combines "velocity" and "IQ": speed, plus the judgment to aim it well.

What we make

Notere is end-to-end encrypted, local-first Markdown notes — web, CLI, and an API that cannot read a single note it stores. Astero is coming soon. Different products, one discipline: fast to use, correct by construction, and tested so they stay that way.

Services, on the side and on purpose

The same team takes on select client work — custom development and automated testing. It keeps us sharp, and clients get the people who build our products, not a bench we rented for the quarter. Products come first; we take on services work when we're confident we can do it well.

Team

A small group of senior engineers who like the work and intend to keep doing it for a long time. When we take on client work, you get the people who'll actually do it — no bait-and-switch after the kickoff.
